Industrial IoT software with high
reliability and uptime

Robust architecture, real-time monitoring, and secure data recovery ensure uninterrupted performance

Reliability is at the heart of every industrial system. CENTO is built to stay online, prevent failures, and protect your data so operations keep running without interruption.

Inside the platform and its architecture

CENTO uses a microservices architecture that spreads tasks across independent parts, avoiding single points of failure and making it easy to scale. Built-in watchdog tools continuously monitor system health and automatically restart services if an issue occurs, helping maintain high uptime and reliable performance even under heavy loads.

High availability is ensured through hot standby: the primary server handles operations while a secondary server remains ready to take over instantly if the primary fails, keeping everything online without interruption. Updates can be performed without downtime — when redundancy is in place, the backup server is updated first and promoted to primary before updating the other server and switching roles back. Even without redundancy, services can be updated individually “on the fly,” allowing the system to stay operational throughout the process.

Monitoring and failure prevention

The platform includes built-in monitoring and alerting for services, data sources, and connected systems. CENTO continuously monitors system performance, with detection speed shaped by the configuration. When set up properly, it identifies issues in real time, helping teams respond before small problems become bigger ones. Built-in safeguards keep operations running smoothly: a watchdog service tracks all components and restarts them when necessary, and if a server or connection goes down, a backup server automatically takes over to keep the system online.

Operational Experience

On average, CENTO projects run for about three months between updates when no redundancy is in place. Large-scale outages are extremely rare, so systems stay stable and available over long periods of time. The platform is designed to keep operating even when the network is unstable: if the database or data channels go offline, it stores the data and writes it once the connection is restored. Clients require a server connection to run, but the system itself doesn’t rely on the public Internet, keeping it secure and local. To support this level of reliability in operation, CENTO includes warranty support that helps maintain stable system performance over time. Reliability requirements are defined by project specifications, ensuring the software consistently meets the operational standards of each deployment.

Data Security and Reliability

CENTO protects data by storing it in a database and maintaining regular backups. This ensures that even if hardware fails or power is lost, your data remains safe and can be restored. The platform can recover quickly after incidents, though the speed depends on what needs to be restored and the type of issue. For example, once the connection to the system and database is reestablished, the data becomes instantly available again.
